Sawyer - 28 Weeks

We had our 28 week appointment today and everything went well! We had a 3D/4D ultrasound and he looks very healthy! We think Sawyer looks a lot like his brother Everett! They said it looks like he weighs 2 pounds and 8 ounces and is in the 43rd percentile. I am not sure how much faith I have in these measurements though - they never predicted Everett would be so big! Ricky weighed 6 pounds 3 ounces and Everett weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces. We are wondering where Sawyer will weigh in! I have only put on 1 pound in the last 2 months bringing me to a total of 12 pounds so far. But my tummy is definitely growing! It is funny, in one day I will hear both how tiny I am and how huge I am! I don't think I am very small, but fortunately it seems like it's all going to my belly! Here are some pictures from our ultrasound. He wasn't very cooperative! He kept his hands and feet in his face the whole time!

Galveston - March 2010

We went to Galveston to celebrate our friend's birthday! We had so much fun! The beach was a blast. It was a beautiful day! The sun was shining and there wasn't a cloud in the sky! However, there was a cool breeze that was a bit chilly! But that didn't stop us from having a great time! We can't wait to go back!

March Update and Spring Break Zoo Trip

Ricky is embracing four years old! He is reading numbers and letters everywhere we go! He is trying so hard to put them together to read the words! He has an imaginary friend named "Roger". And he is in constant competition with his new "friend"! He has also been dressing his Tigress stuffed animal in baby clothes, rocking her to sleep, and putting her in the swing and bouncy seat. And we have to be really quiet not to wake his baby! Daddy and I think he is adjusting to the idea of Sawyer coming here. We are finishing up the nursery, and things around the house are becoming more real to the boys. Ricky has totally become Daddy's boy! And Everett clings to mommy more than ever! Everett doesn't like me holding other babies. He is very possessive! But he talks to my belly all the time! So we are interested to see how they transition to their new baby brother! Everett is 2 1/2 years old! He is pointing out letters and numbers just like his big brother! He tries to count along with Ricky to 30, but we are still working on mastering that! He is quite the lover - always offering hugs and kisses to all around him! Everett has been potty trained for a year now. But mommy and daddy had a hard time getting him to give up his night time milk. So we worked on that, and now Everett is waking up dry! Yeah!

During our busy, fun-filled Spring Break we also went to the zoo with friends! Both boys love the zoo, but Everett can't be contained. Where Ricky's favorite is probably the museum -Everett's is the zoo! We went with the Alfords and met up with the Horsfords for a bit! It was a beautiful day, and we had a blast!

Spring Break 2010 - Visit with Jessica and Carleigh

Our friend Jessica and her pretty girl Carleigh came to stay with us over Spring Break. What a good, sweet girl she is! While they were here, we had a playgroup at our house. Lots of friends came. But Ricky had to go to the doctor and then over to the hospital for bloodwork. It turns out that he had something called Toxic Synovitis. As a result of a previous virus, he had an infection settle in his hip. This has caused him to limp and have difficulty walking. He would get tired easily and was a bit whiney and uncomfortable. So Ricky missed the playgroup. But that afternoon we made it up to him by taking him to the park! The next day we went to the mall for haircuts. We were so well behaved we got to ride the carousel! It was Carleigh's first time, but we showed her the ropes. She was very brave! We were sad to see Jessica and Carleigh go - we hope to see them again soon!

Spring Break 2010 - Museum Visit

We went to the museum with our neighbors - the Horsfords! Both boys LOVE the museum! Ricky gets so excited he talks a million miles a minute and runs to explore it all! Everett takes a more laid back approach! He spends more time checking each thing out! Both boys were thrilled to go with Glenneth, Ranika, and Rashaun! We went to the butterfly exhibit, the general admission, and even watched a 3D IMAX. We all had a great time!
