Sawyer - 3 Months

Sawyer is so much fun! He is such a good, easy, sweet baby! He is always flashing his big, beautiful smile! He is nursing and taking a bottle. He is at 7 feedings a day. He weighs 11 pounds 6 ounces. He is long and skinny! He has been sleeping through the night (7-8 hours) for quite some time. We started putting some rice cereal in his bottle for 1 feeding to get his tummy ready to be introduced to solids. And on 9/22 he ate rice cereal from a spoon and LOVED it! This kid smiles through everything! He has still been sleeping upright in his bouncy seat. We have just started working on getting him to sleep flat. The first night he woke up several times but put himself back to sleep. The second night he adjusted and was perfect! He has been rolling from belly to back consistently since he was 5 weeks old. He just rolled from back to front on 9/19! He loves sitting in his Bumbo. And we just set up the high chair that attaches to a chair, so he can join our family for dinner! He is so happy, and Mommy gets to eat this way! He has started playing with toys. He loves his link chain and red robin scrunchy rattle! His brothers love to dress him up in their build a bear outfits! And he is such a trooper letting them do it! He just watches his brothers with a big smile! He loves to talk, and laugh, and play! He even giggled in his sleep so much his body was shaking, and it caused him to break out in coughs! He brings such joy to our family!

Ricky and Everett Update

Ricky and Everett are so close! They are best friends! This is the first time they have been apart, and they are doing much better than we expected! In fact, it makes their time together even better! Ricky loves going to preK at Primrose. He just adores his teachers! He is upset if there is a night that he doesn't get homework! He is learning a great deal and making many friends! Everett and Sawyer love going to Erika and VaVa's house. Everett is the big man on campus! He calls Sawyer his "partner" and takes being "responsible" for his baby brother very seriously! In the car, they practice counting, spelling, and singing songs! At home, they play on their computer, read books, imaginary play, and play together with Sawyer!

Labor Day - Galveston - Day 1

Every year we head to Galveston for Labor Day weekend! This year we went with the Alfords and the Heemers. It was a blast! The weather was gorgeous! The kids were all so well behaved! We all relaxed and had a great time! On the first day, we went down with Grammy. We unloaded at the beach house and checked out the beach for a bit. Then we went to lunch at rainforest cafe. They boys were thrilled! Everett was a little intimidated though! He clung to us pretty tightly the entire time! After eating, we took the indoor boat ride. Everett was terrified, though he says he loved it! And then their favorite part, Grammy let them do Build a Bear! Ricky created Tippy the Tiger, and Everett created Leo the Leopard! They love their new "babies" and all the accessories! We headed back to spend some time on the beach before our friends got there! When they showed up, the boys were on cloud nine! They love Brooklyn and Colson and Jack and Charlotte! That night, the boys had a slumber party with Jack! They were worn out from an exciting day!
