ITZ Family Fun Night - March 25, 2011

We had a family fun night one Friday after work. We went to a place called ITZ. Ricky says it is one of the "Funnest Places on Earth"! (ITZ and the Children's Museum downtown are the two Funnest Places on Earth) There was fun for all ages, so all my boys (including Daddy) had a great time! Ricky loves the grabber machines. Everett loves the train. And Sawyer rode his very first ride and was all smiles! I think Daddy's favorite was the Bumper Cars. You eat dinner there too, and the food was actually really good! We can't wait to go back!

Spring Break Play Group

As often as we can, we try to get the kids together for playgroup. Pictures were hard this time because they were all so busy playing and having a good time they didn't want to stop for pictures! They played inside, outside, had snack, etc. Everyone was well behaved and got along so well!
Most of the big kids!

Fredericksburg - 2011

For Christmas, Rick surprised me and arranged a trip for the two of us to Fredericksburg, Texas. We went during Spring Break. The first day we got there, we had couple's massages (yeah!) and spent time on Main Street. The second day we spent climbing Enchanted Rock - it was breathtaking (in every sense of the word!). The following day we drove to Luckenbach, Texas. Then we visited six wineries and a brewhouse - of course I was the preggo designated driver!  At the last winery we visited we came across bulls, sheep, goats, and horses. The horses were so friendly. One horse came up to me and kept gently nudging my belly. The wine attendant said that horses have a knack for knowing things! We sat on the rooftop at our resort and watched the sun set every evening. It was amazing! We had such a nice, relaxing time!

Ricky Riding His Bike!

Ricky has been wanting to ride his bike with no training wheels. The first day he tried he was frustrated because he truly thought he would just get on and go. During the week, we were picking up Everett and Sawyer from the Corkern's house. Ricky saw his friend Lia riding her bike. He said I can do that! He went home, got on his bike, and did just that! At just five years old he is riding his bike with no training wheels! Look out rode, next he'll be driving a car!

We're Pregnant....Again!!!

So my lower back was killing me and I was beginning to think I had a kidney infection. Then I could tell my thryroid was out of whack, so I was thinking I needed to go in to have that checked. Then I noticed the smell of gasoline was making me feel sick and I was feeling a little whoozy. I was exhausted - which is not unusual considering my boys keep me so active! Then I noticed when I was looking at the computer screen I was having trouble seeing. That was when I put everything all together and realized "Whoa!" So after school I went by CVS for a test. Of course I ran into one of my students there, so I was hiding out between the aisles before I could check out. I picked up Ricky from school and went to pick up Everett and Sawyer. When I got there, I found out they were going to be moving this summer! I am happy for the Corkern family and their new opportunities, but very sad for the Kuhn family. And the timing was not ideal to say the least! I already knew what I was going to confirm as soon as I got home. I took the test and it was an immediate positive! I have always wanted four children! So what a blessing it came so easy to us! The next day I went to the doctor and it was confirmed again and bloodwork was taken. My HCG levels were 289. They had me come back 11 days later and my levels were 7,995! Which was great news! My thryoid was out of whack, so they increased my medication. I get a little queasy when I need to eat, but otherwise I feel great! I don't have morning sickness, all day sickness, or nighttime sickness which I had all of the above with Everett and Sawyer! So I am feeling pretty lucky! I quit nursing as soon as I found out. The doctor said that nursing takes a lot out of your body, growing a baby takes a lot out of your body, and I don't have a lot of body to begin with. So it was a no go on the nursing!
At our first ultrasound, we found out we were 8 weeks along and the due date is November 1st. The heartbeat is 162 bpm. Watching the precious little heart beating gets me every time! We are so blessed! The baby measures 1.41 cm. I have not put on any weight in the first 8 weeks. I now have a little nausea during the night, but mostly just don't have much of an appetitie. I feel pretty great! After the appointment we went home and told the boys. They were so excited! They can't wait! Check out the video of their reaction!

Sawyer - 9 Months Old

Sawyer is nine months old! He is crawling and cruising - even climbing! He says "Mama", "Dada", "More". He waves bye-bye. He has two bottom teeth and is working on three top teeth. He still doesn't have much hair. He adores his brothers! And they are very good at entertaining him! He loves to go to the park. He doesn't like to be alone. He is a very happy, smiley baby! He had yet another round of ear infections. Poor guy! When he is grumpy we know something is wrong - he only cries when he is hurting! This is such a fun stage - he is exploring everything!

Orwall Opening Day - 2011

Opening day at Orwall was quite the event! There was a delay in the festivities due to rain. So we started around 12:30 with the parade. It was so cold and windy, but that didn't stop us! Though after the parade, we left to eat at Steel City Pizza where it was warm! We came back to the field in time to watch Ryland's team play. Then we enjoyed some of the festivities before our game. I have to say the METS played so well! It was only one inning, but they did a phenomenal job! After the game, they had individual and team pictures. Finally, about 5:30 we headed home! We were exhausted! But it was so much fun!
