Day After Thanksgiving

For six years, we have had the Alford's over for leftovers the day after Thanksgiving! In that time we have gone from being pregnant to a total of six kiddos between both families!! It is so much fun watching our kids grow up together! We enjoyed good food and friends as good as family! Can't wait to do it again next year!

Thanksgiving 2011

In everything I wished for and dreamed of I could never imagine having so much to be thankful for! I am truly blessed! This Thanksgiving Nana, Pappy, Grammy and Tim came over for Thanksgiving dinner. As usual we all ate way too much! The boys were so excited! Every year on Thanksgiving we start our Christmas decorating together. The boys ran around the house singing Christmas carols and putting ornaments on the tree! We have two trees - one in the dining room the boys decorate and one in the living room that mommy decorates. We are all filled with thanks for one another, and we are all in the Christmas spirit!

Lizard Lovin'

My boys are definitely ALL boys! They spent hours outside playing. And they found a new friend! They loved this little lizard. They played with him for a long time and then decided he probably wanted to go be with his family, so they let him go. We were able to snap some pics before our little friend returned to his home!

Visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus - 2011

Grammy took us to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus. It was such a great experience! Everyone was so wonderful! The helpers and photographer were great! And Santa and Mrs. Claus were amazing. We had a blast! They spent so much time with them! And Santa expressed to the boys how important it was to behave and be a good listener - especially if they wanted an IPOD touch! Visiting Santa really put us in the Christmas spirit!

Emerson is One Month Old!

Our little guy is one month old! He's getting so big so fast! He's a great little sleeper. He sleeps 5-7 hours at night. He loves his brothers! In fact sometimes when he's fussy he'll stop crying if Ricky holds him! His belly button is finally healing thank goodness! He went to the hospital to have his levels checked again for jaundice. They were 10.4, which is still high. But they are coming down, so that is what is important. The doctor said it is from breastfeeding and could take 6-8 weeks for it to work itself out. We tease that he is going to start a group called the "Yellow Man Group"! We think he is having some trouble with his reflux. He coughs, gags, and chokes frequently. He spits up occassionally out of his nose, but he isn't a big vomiter. He mostly chokes on it - this is called "silent reflux". We have been monitoring it, but think we will be starting medication pretty soon. We still don't see a lot of his personality yet, but he seems pretty laid back. His brothers adore him! We all do!

Emerson's first tear! I wish I could make it his last!!

The Houston Zoo - November 2011

We spent the day at the zoo with the Alfords. We went to many exhibits, and spent some time in Africa. We even watched the Polar Express in 4D! I think the primates were among the favorites! Maybe that's because the kiddos can relate! =0)
