25 Weeks Pregnant
I had my 24 week appointment and everything went well! After the fall it was good to hear Sawyer's strong heartbeat again! I am still at 121 pounds, so I haven't gained anything in the last month. I am at a total of 11 pounds so far - which is surprising because my belly sure is growing! They did my glucose test and I passed! I am excited that all my efforts to decrease my sugar has paid off so far! I went to the endocrinologist as well and got those bloodwork results back. They had to increase my thyroid medication again. I am anemic, so I have to start taking iron supplements. The labwork also showed a significant vitamin D deficiency. So he is giving my system a boost by giving me a high dose of vitamin D for 3 weeks, and then lowering it a bit the week after that. I am hoping these results explain why all I want to do is sleep! Hopefully over the next few weeks I will see some improvement in my energy levels! Through all this Sawyer is doing great - thank GOD! What a miracle growing a baby is - it never ceases to amaze me!

24 Weeks Pregnant - What a trip!
On March 1, I decided to take a little trip or rather a fall! I fell down our stairs. I skipped several steps and landed a couple times before coming to a stop. It was scary, but I was able to get up and walk. The fall was jarring, and my neck, back, and stomach muscles all hurt. I went ahead into work and called the doctor. The nurse told me to drink some juice and check for movement. I called back and left a message that I did feel movement. Finally, at three o'clock when they called me back, they told me to head over to Labor and Delivery at the hospital because the doctor wanted to monitor the baby. So I left and got there a little before 3:30. They hooked me up to a fetal monitor and monitored contractions. Sawyer did not like the fetal monitor! He was a feisty little guy! For hours he kicked and hit the fetal monitor! His heartrate was very good - what a relief! I had random contractions but nothing regular. They sent me to ultrasound to check for any tearing of the placenta. After awhile, the technician turned the monitor and let me see Sawyer! It was almost like he looked straight at me and blinked his big, round eyes! Then he stretched and gave the biggest yawn! I guess he was worn out too! It was so sweet, and such a relief to see my little guy doing well! They monitored him again while waiting for the results. There were no tears, and everything looked great! We couldn't have had better news! So after five hours in L&D I was finally able to go home! Thanks to Allison and my mom for coming up to check on me and help break up the time! I got home at 9:00, ate a sandwich, took two Tylenol PM and went to bed. I took the next day off to recover! I took the boys to the sitter, came home, took another Tylenol PM, and went back to bed until noon! I was sore, but the rest helped immensely! I went back to the doctor for my check up, and Sawyer's heartbeat was good and strong! That night I almost fell again going up the stairs! I guess my balance is off, so I will be holding the railing going up and down the stairs! I went back to work the next day. I am still sore, but feel so lucky with how things turned out!

Ricky and Everett - March 3, 2010
Ricky and Everett are growing up so fast! They are the best of friends! They play together, look out for each other, and are inseparable! They also fight like brothers! At times Rick and I have to hide our laughter at their behavior! If weather is permitting, they spend all their time outside! The love to ride bikes, ride their scooters, and most of all drive around in their Jeep! We are so happy living in a cul de sac where they meet all the kids on the street to play!
Ricky is learning responsibility. He saved $100 of his money to buys a "Shakin' Hiney Scooter". He saved money from Christmas, his birthday, Valentine's Day, etc. and chose on his own what he wanted to do with his money. He was so proud of himself, and we are very proud of him!

Everett has grown attached to his "Pillow Pal"! One of the times he was in the hospital, a volunteer had made pillows and sewed on a face. It is not the cutest thing anyone has seen, but he carries it everywhere with him! We try to convince him to leave it at home or in the car but we're not very successful! He also has started climbing in the pantry to try to sneak candy! I can't imagine where he gets his sweet tooth! ;0)

Houston Zoo - February 2010
We went to the Houston Zoo and had a blast! The weather was perfect! It was a nice retreat from all the cold, rainy days we've been having! We saw all the boys favorite animals, went to the petting zoo, watched them feed the pirahnas, rode the carousel, and rode the train! It's hard to say what their favorite part of the day was because we had so much fun! They loved running around independently checking everything out! They got to lead the way and made sure we knew who was directing our tour! Check out our pictures to share in our adventure!

Sawyer - 20 Weeks
We had our 20 week appointment yesterday. We had an ultrasound and everything looks great! Sawyer's heartbeat was 148 beats per minute. And he now weighs 11 ounces! How can he look so big and so developed and still be so tiny!?! It's amazing! Mommy is growing too! I have put on 11 pounds bringing me to a whopping 121 pounds! I am still working out at the gym - riding the stationary bike, taking Bodyworks classes, and an occassional Spin class too! I feel better than I have felt this entire pregnancy! Whoohoo! I still have the occassional bout of nausea, but it is such a relief from what it has been! I love feeling him move! As he grows I feel him more and more every day! Daddy even felt him move January 30! What a special time! We have some new pictures from our ultrasound!
