RSV

Our family was hit hard by RSV. Mama and all 3 boys were hit by this terrible virus! It is particulary dangerous for infants, elderly, and people with respiratory issues. Which pretty much covers our family - except the elderly part! :0) We were sick for almost three weeks with this virus. Sawyer ended up in the ER.  Ricky and Everett were on breathing treatments every four hours and Sawyer was on breathing treatments every two hours! Everett and Sawyer ended up with terrible ear infections as a result of the virus. During this virus, Everett stuck a toy in baby brother's ear, and Sawyer ended up in the ER just days after his first visit! They all remembered him there - from admitting, to nurses, to doctors. When we walked in they said "The smiley baby is back!" Through it all Sawyer is always smiling! The doctor said it was a good thing Sawyer had the ear infections. A large ball of wax protected Sawyer's eardrum from being punctured by the toy! After the virus, we went back for a recheck on Everett and Sawyer's ears. Both boys ears were still infected, so we continued on another round of antibiotics. The doctor told us to keep Ricky and Everett on breathing treatments through February. And we have to keep a close eye on Sawyer the rest of this year and next year because he is at risk due to the RSV. Not the way we planned on spending our Christmas break!
