Emerson is 3 Weeks Old!

Our little guy is already three weeks old! He is doing so well! He is a content baby. He has some good awake time during the day, and he is sleeping like a champ at night! He typically sleeps 5-6 hours, eats, and then goes down for 4 1/2 hours when I have to wake him to take the boys to school. He has even gone 7 hours! Whoohoo! He is working on tummy time and is getting some play time on his mat. His umbilical cord still has not fallen off. And it is looking pretty gross! We went to the doctor and she re-cauterized it. Which means she burned it. After cleaning it really good, she took a long match and touched it to the inner part that was still raw. Hopefully this does the trick! He weighs 8 pounds and 8 ounces. And we have to return to the hospital to retest his bilirubin levels beacuse he is still yellow. She said it is probably just due to breastfeeding and may take 6 weeks to work itself out, but she wants to check the levels to see where we're at. I am enjoying this time with my sweet guy, and I am dreading the day I will have to leave him!!
